Anemone question

Hi,

I tried this question on another thread and received no help.

I have a 95 gallon system with various corals, two true perculas and 2 green chromis. I would like to add an anemone, if it would not create a problem with things.

I know the clowns will not connect with just any anemone, so I am looking for suggestions. One that will be a good match but not do bad things to the other creatures already there.

Thanks, Fred

if you want an anemone for your percs get LTA or BTA (most used) although other anemones will do. Stay away from those condalactis (white anemone with pink or purple tips), percs never host in them.

as for the anemones not hurting anything that'll never happen. Whatever comes in contact with the anemone will get stung. Although the anemone doesn't go around hurting the other creatures. Its basically a stationary invert unless it doesn't like its location it'll detach and float to an area where it likes. This is the other way it may end up stinging other creatures in the tank because it'll just brush up against anything since it does not have a form of local motion.

Other than that adding an anemone will be fine no biggie, unless its still find a suitable place for itself.

A green BTA or rose BTA might work nicely for you. I have a two clowns hosted by a rbta and they are all happy.

IMO never put them in the same tank. It's only a matter of time before something bad happens.
