Lightbulb How many hours lighting do you need /day?

I have a 55 gallon reef w/ 4X54w T5.
A) How many hours should I keep lights on / day to minimize algae growth and keep corals & BTA happy?

B) Is 2 MJ 1200 enough flow?

My setup :
55 gallon reef

softies shroms & recordias
3 bubble corals
1 GBTA
1 hammer coral
3 acropora
2 percs
1 damsel
1 purple goby
Whole bunch of cleanup critters
