Anyone ever test foods?

I'm trying to feed the most nutritional foods w/ out introducing phosphates or other crud.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has ever tested different brands of food for nutritional value or phosphates?
How many exp reefers feed mysis regularly, do you rinse and if so do you notice a difference?
I also feed cyclopzeze, but have no idea what that contains as far as phos.
What about Nori?
What supplements/coral foods might be best?
Do the most exp reefers make their own food?

Don't test foods but I make my own. If you chose to go that way some seafood is preserved with ortho phosphates. It's designated as "wet" as opposed to no preservatives which is "dry". Make sure anything you use to make food has no preservatives or you're almost guaranteed to be adding phosphates.

I put a very tiny pinch of Flake food in my Phosphate test vial during atest and it was OFF the chart Blue. Not very much hard info. But it does show the prescence of Phosphate.

Cool, this is info I'm looking for to advance my tank.
AGU, going by your last statement, are you recommending using seafoods that DO have preservatives to avoid phos?
What do YOU use to make food?

MG, going by your test it sounds like flakes should be eliminated.

Anyone have thoughts/specs on cyclopzeze and or Nori?
