help. Can I feed UV st and skimmer by gravity?
Hi there. I have a 300 gallon tank upstairs and am building my equipment room downstairs.
I am going to try feeding my skimmer directly with raw water by gravity. Reeflo Orca. This will take a 1.25 inch flexible hose. My skimmer can handle max 600 gph. I am thinking about adding this UV sterilizer. http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...t~0~tab~0.html It has two inch inlets and outlets and can handle max 4500 gph with max kill rate still on at 1500 gph. Can I feed this by gravity? Will lots of bubbles and sometimes air pockets cause problems with the UV sterilizer, heat, or otherwise? Also, give me any opinions on how a UV sterilizer and FUGE might or might not work against each other. i.e.... if one plumbs the UV sterilizer between the fuge and the display, will the UV sterilizer kill all the pods going up? Thanks for input from anyone with UV sterilizer experience. RYan. |
