what to do with niger

I removed my niger trigger from my tank because i thought it was eating my inverts but it turned out to be something else. I have him in a 20 for now and was wondering if i should put him back in my 75 and just to keep in mind it is a reef, or should i just return him to some lfs?

If he wasn't eating your inverts, and not bothering your corals, why not keep them. I personally love the way they look.

personally I think even though he may not be bothering them now, eventually he will, along with other inverts you might want to stick in the tank

I have one in my reef and it never touches anything including very small anemone shrimp, pom pom crabs, an anemone crab, arrow crab, cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp, and several star fish. Of course that could all change with time, but I see it as a reasonable risk. If he has not touched anything yet, why get rid of such a cool fish?
