I have mysis in both of my systems; tons of 'em. They were originally introduced in a detrivore kit from Inland Aquatics. I don't do anything special for them other than feed the tank (a mixture of DT's phyto, oyster eggs, varying sizes of golden pearls, and some vitamins) and they do just fine.

My 10 was full of them up until I added a purple dottyback; They came in with some live rock and quickly multiplied like crazy.

mysis are different then mysids Mysids are what we have living in our tanks, not mysis.

Mysis = freshwater
Mysid = saltwater

FWIW they don't need much phyto at all, most large places feed them on rotifers for most life stages. They Oyster Eggs and Golden Pearls are great for feeding them though

They also love cyclopeez... I had tons of them, right up until I had to use interceptor. For 3 years after, couldn't culture them. They're that sensitive to it.
