Power Compact light range choices for 120 reef tank
I have a 120 gallon reef tank with fish and 140 pounds of live rock and some invertebraes i.e. two sabae anemones, long tentacled anemone and bubble tipped anemone. My choices are limited because I have strip lights which hold strait pin bulbs.
I presently have two strip lights each holding one 96 & one 65 watt actinic 03 bulb and one 96 & and one 65 watt 12,000 K bulbs. This makes 322 watts time two strip lights for a total of 644 watts. My question is I can only find strait pin bulbs in 10,000/460nm, 6,700/10,000, and 420nm/460nm bulbs? I am wondering what would be the best set up. I was thinking of replacing all bulbs with 10,000/460nm although I could not simulate dusk and dawn like I do now. I could with 6,700/10,000 bulbs and 420nm/460nm bulbs? I wonder whether 6,700 is enough reef light and I also wonder about a strait 460nm? Please help!
