Some questions about detritus

Can it over time completely disappear on its own by being used by micro organisms? Or does it have to be manually removed all the time? Also, does this appear in the ocean or is it completely a problem caused from have a marine environment in such a small area?
I am constantly blowing the stuff off of rocks and the bottom. It looks like my rocks are dusty sometimes. I have great flow at least I should just have sinceI spent a thousand dollars on Tunze Turbelle Stream Kit TS24 - Two Stream 6101 + 7095 MultiController which work great, but still itâ€™s an issue.
I know what I would like to do and thatâ€™s a complete tank tear down, but I donâ€™t want to stress out my fish. Especially my yellow tang which I just could not bear to hurt .You know your close to your fish when they see you and head straight toward the glass to meet you and then when they see you grab the food forget it. Just like dogs.

It is gennerally food for something, but many people worry about it. Not really sure why... If it starts to collect I just point a powerhead at it and watch the coral polyps open right up

And yes, there is plenty of it in the ocean otherwise nothing would survive...

Detritus will never disappear because your livestock is always generating more. Dusting your LR and high flow keeps detritus suspended enabling it to be filtered out or consumed by organisms including corals.

lol... Yup, ever thought you woudl have this relationship with a fish? Something that can be found on McDonalds menu?...lol

You need to improve your clean up crew. Mainly the snail and Brittle stars. They will not clean your rock work But they will your sand bed. A lawn mower Blenny can be employed to take care of the aquascape. (they are perfect for this) But they can also starve out, so make sure you pick one that is eating other foods as well.

On a second note you should vacuum your substrate. I do a small section every week so that within the month all of it has been done. But if you have a deep sand bed you don't want to go very deep. Only vacuum 1/2 inch or there about Deep.

yes these guys/girls are right if you have coral in your tank then it would be good to create a particulate storm every now and then with it.
