High PO4 on ARM media
I have recently acquired a Hanna PO4 meter and used it to test the output effluent of the CR. I was shock to see a reading of 0.34ppm.
Is it supposed to be this high on PO4 for ARM media? Dave. |

i want to bring this thread back to life because i been having an algae issue and im wondering if PO4 in the ARM media might be the problem. .34 doesn't sound THAT high. anyone else with a Hanna meter run ARM and can test? i dissolved a couple of sticks of ARM in some vinegar and i was surprised to see a lot of fine gray detritus looking silt left behind that was inside the pores of the media. i love ARM media for its ability to dissolve at higher pH then most other medias, but is it the best choice for my tank? i don't know now.
