how much longer?

I set my 46 up about 2 weeks ago. I put some pellets in there and added a cup or so of live sand, there is about 10 pounds of live rock now.
Do I just want to wait for the levels to go to zero?
Should I give it about another month or just a few weeks?

How much total rock? How much total sand? Partial live/ dead is fine, but I HIGHLY suggest atleast 1 to 1.5 pounds of rock per gallon. Testing will be the best wy to know when you can put a fish or corals in. I'd suggest that over an arbitrary time limit.

well I have about 30 in my other tank and 10 in this one. I will be switching over the rock and livestock. I'm not going to tear apart my tank just to take the rock.
