coral I.D. please
i picked this up about a week ago and the place i got if from said it was some kind of leather but im wondering exactly what it is it almost looks like a kenya but i never had one so im not sure anyways heres some pics.
yes i know i have aptasia or however you say it i keep on doesing with calcium derictly and im even plucking them but they wont go away are pepermint shrimp reef safe?

Yep that's a Kenya Tree. I've got one. They grow like a weed and also "shed" and produce frags in your tank. They'll stick to rocks and one of mine actually stuck onto one of my hermit crabs!

thats really awesome i was hopeing it was a kenya thanks for the info the frags might come in handy one day. do you have any tips on how to get them to grow and shed or is there any specail needs for them?

Get a peppermint shrimp for that aiptasia. They're reef safe, and I've had good experiences with them getting rid of aiptasia.

If the peppermint doesn't work to get rid of that aiptasia, try some Joe's Juice

It works well, I did have a big one that I had to sap it twice, 2nd time did the trick.

Just boil some ro/di water and jab a syringe (the plastic kind) of it into the aiptasia's mouth a couple of times until it starts melting.. Aiptasia dead. Safe and free

Good lighting will help it grow. I started out with a piece about half the size of yours. Two months later and it looks like this.

i'll give that a shot first ha. does anyone know what kenya trees need? light wise? i should be ok with light. but do you have to spot feed or anything? and how do they shed?
