What do you think? I need some help...

Hey all...

I'm going out of town for about 11 days, my wife and I are having a medical procedure. My good friend is going to come over every 2 days or so to check the tank and make sure my water top off is doing ok. I was wondering, could I run my lights less while im gone...like 4 hours a day to help with water evaporation? What ya think?

Josh

I think you will be fine doing so if you don't have any sensitive corals. what is in your tank besides the fish?

I have sps, lps, clam, inverts...I worrie about the clam...but I just think about the ocean, when there are storms. I could be way off, however, that was my thinking.

Thanks again,

Josh

You should be OK with 4 hr/day, providing you don't have any corals or inverts that require light. How many hrs/day are you currently running your lights? What type of lights do you have?
Consider that the greatest loss of water occurs in the winter because of the low moisture content of the air.
