Salifert NH4 test

I have a question about the ammonia test made by salifert. Is the final solution that you read from supposed to be a milky translucent white, or is it supposed to be completely clear? My tank has been set up for over 2 years and I thought I would check my NH4 levels since I haven't in over a year. I don't have any nitrates or nitrites, so I thought it unlikely that I would have ammonia, but I can't read the test properly. There doesn't appear to be any color--just translucent white. Is this a reading of 0?
