setup a "mandarin diner" but will he eat it?

hey guys. i have a olive jar with some pellet food in it like that which is displayed on melevs reef page.

i understand these guys eat copods...so will he eat this? i put it right where he hangs out.

i had to ween my lionfish into eating frozen food...do i have to do something similar with this guy?

It's worth a try. If you can get it to eat prepared foods you are in good shape.

Offer variety: frozen mysis (different brands, if possible), some brine shrimp for a taste, Marine Cuisine for variety. Mine didn't appreciate pellets.

Lucky you - mine never touched pellets.
Did you see them eating? In my tank hermits are literally living inside the mandarin diner jar.

Try live brine in the diner first, then once he gets used to eating out of it, switch to the pellets.
