a question of voltages...

right,
i live in the UK.I have found a nice deal on a JBJ ATO, but it is from the USA.Now my question is this.
I understand that I will need some sort of transformer 110V/240V for the unit, but how does this affect the pump?does it have to be 110V or can i connect a European 240V one to it??

thanks guys

The pump will run at double speed for a brief moment before it bursts into flames. You need to step the voltage down to 110V.
