is it ok to add more lr?

My Tank is cycling on the 10th day I have a75 gallon and 73 pounds of lr I have a guy in my area wanting to sell 60 pds of live rock he says he has had for 3 years for $250 is it ok to add it to my tank?

I would say "yes" if it's cured. I added more rock to my tank after it had been up for 6 months. It was fully stocked with fish and also had a couple of corals. I just made sure the rock was cured. I never saw any evidence of a mini cycle, and all my livestock seemed unfazed.

Since you're already cycling this is a perfect time to add more LR. Since it's already cured it shouldn't affect the cycle except in a positive way. Go for it...........

Yup yup, dump it in now and let it all fester at once. So much easier than trying to add it later when your CUC, etc. is in there.

that's going to be alot of rock in the main tank--suggest you spread it out between the sump and the refugium if you have one

but I agree its the right time to do it

I have o sump don't plan on gettingone anytime soon. I was told I needed more rock I like the way it looks now .Saw a pic of the guys rocks not crazy about them alot of smaller pieces .
But If zi dont have to add I wont
