Yeah, I gotta say that scratched up acrylic tanks look horrible. I don't care how "easy" it is to buff them (even though its not easy at all). I don't want to deal with it when I have corraline growing all over.
I sit and stare at my tank ALL the time. If I have to look at a scratched up tank all the time, I would be one unhappy hobbyist. Glass all day for me, and only because of the scratch factor.

I do agree. I think the only way i would go back to Acrylic is if i had a huge tank! I would not trust a huge glass tank that is just me. BTW Jim great Quote. Thats my favorite flix of all time! |

Agreed. There comes a point where glass becomes very impractical. For my needs (I'll never own a tank larger than 300 gallons), I will always buy glass. Yeah, its great flick. I was watching it the other day and when that quote came out I just started busting up ![]()
