h2o movement for softies
What is the recommended water movement for softies? I'm looking at putting polyps, leathers and zoos.

Water flow depends on tank size rock placement and amount of LR. Your whole tank needs proper flow for health and that flow will be perfect for most corals.

Is this for your 30g? If not, what size tank?

I recently got a 55g. It has a 10g fuge and a 28g sump. I'm working on getting LR now. I know that I have to wait to put the coral in, but I wanted to get the powerheads/wavemakers in before I started working on my aquascape.

A good flow rate in the tank for softies and lps would be 20 to 40 times the tank volume.
However I would suggest you use a number of korilias to acheive this since leathers are one of the exception to wanting alot of flow korilias start rate at 400, 600, 800, and 1200 gph If you went with three number two's you would get 1800 gph and you can direct them or create zones of flow so as to accomodate all the flow needs of your coral.

the other consideration with lots of flow is that your tank water is circulating faster, the surface area is being churned where some oxygen is exchanged, phosphates and nitrates are being drawn up into the water column where they are filtered out---this all works towards very stable water parameters---corals esp sps's like that
