What are these white things on the rocks?

Small feather dusters...Indication that there are too many nutrients in the water.

Using some Cheato will help reduce the nutrient level.

Im pretty sure they arent feather dusters. I have those in my tank but these are flat on the rock and there is hundered if not thousands. On my snails shells too.

And since when do feather dusters indicate that there are too many nutrients in the water? You'd have all kinds of algae problems first and foremost.

I have a bunch of feather dusters and they are a sign of a healthy tank

They're spirorbid worms, which are sort of like small featherdusters.

Since when do featherdusters indicate a healthy tank? They feed on bacterioplankton and phyto. A large amount of either is an indication of nutrients.
