New to Coral
I'm VERY new to coral. I'm a little lost when it comes to all the names out there, so please bear with me.
About the only experience I have is with a rock of zoos that seem to be doing well. My questions is: What types of coral should I be starting on? I'd need things that can be shipped since I'm here in Hawaii, so xenia would be out of the question. Let me know! --matt |

Things like zoas, mushrooms, etc are all fairly easy to maintain. How long has the tank been setup? You have some good equipment, if it's been established long enough and you keep your parameters within acceptable ranges you could try some LPS or SPS. In case you don't know, soft corals like xenia, anthelia, or Kenya trees will act like weeds under the right conditions, and you may wish you never added them in the first place. If I were you I would also check out Ricordia's. Many people get addicted to them.
