Fragging or Pruning Xenia
My Xenia is starting to grow, finally after about 3 months. but now it is getting bigger than i want it to be. what is the best way to go about fragging it. can i just cut it anyway i want or is there a good technique. How do i frag or trim it without killing it. also is there a good way to get it off of the rock it has planted a foot on?

get a razor knife and cut away, if you really want it off then scrape what ever is left on the rock, every time i frag i leave the foot on the rock and after a month or so xenia will regrow so i can frag it again, i usually sell the frags off to LFS and get credit for fish food, corals, fish etc. good luck

I put a small piece of rock next to a good size stalk and it slowly walks on to that piece.
I just read on another thread that you can pull them of the rock also, have not tried that though.

I used my fingernail to get under a corner and then just pulled it. Anything you do its almost impossible to kill it. I just used a rubberband to live rock rubble and in a day or two it is attatched.
