Quick Hatching question - Brine Shrimp
I got some brine shrimp eggs. I got a bottle, and have an airhose running into it. Is it ok not to have an air stone? Also, Doe's it need to be warm, or can it be whatever temp the house is (like 65-68F) Any other tips? I heard they hatch after 3 days?

The airline is hooked up to a air pump. But its big bubbles instead of small. It makes the water move rather well. I guess your response didn't seem very clear to me. What about temp? They need light?

I tried 4 times to hatch brine shrimp with no luck - eventually selling my opened can to a lfs. All they did was smell really bad after 2 days. I used an airpump and ambient light over a .5 gallon tank.

No they need to be around the same temptature as your tank IMO and experence. I've tired in my irish conditions before and failed every time. I'm planning on setting up an extened sump for a hatching station so the water from the tank flows around the bottles, keeping the tempeture up.

Based on what I read, our tanks are too salty. I believe they need salinity of 1.018 and pH 8 - 8.2.
