Toms aqua lifter for ATO pump?
I need a pump for my ato from autotopoff.com. The resivoir is next to the tank, so the water has to travel like 20". I like the aqua lifter because all you need to run into the resivoir is a airline tube, allowing me to keep a tight lid, with just a small hole for the tube.
Will this pump be enough to keep my water level steady?

That's what I use on both my tanks. They're great for topoffs because they don't pump too quickly and they can be run dry without damage.

I use this, http://www.aquahub.com/store/product26.html. It requires a little effort to assemble, but it's cheap and it has two float switches for redundancy.

Yeah, I also use the aquahub.com ATO's with an aqualifter. Cheap, easy and reliable.

Thanks. looked at that yesterday, since I do not use an ATO, is there a way to control flow, like a gallon a day but continiously?

What you can do since this pump is very slow, hook it up to a timer and have it run for a certain period of time. I knew someone who had a timer run hers for 3 minutes every hour and that was perfect for the amount she lost. You will just have to figure out what you need. Autotopoff.com sells an ato for like $40 and it is very reliable. Will make your life easier!

Thanks, the timer is the way I want to go since I am going to use to dose Kalk and I want to do it slowly over time, during a 24hr period, not on and off like a ATO would do. I hope that made sense!?
