beginner 75 gallon tank
Hi!
I am starting my first saltwater tank. 75 gallon. started with 2 amphiprion clowns, which was great. then added Lamarck's angel. great for several days. then angel died. then one clown died. suggetions for next fish to try? royal gramma? hermit crabs? turbo snails? peppermint shrimp? water quality good, have aqua C big skimmer, sump. live rock, live sand. ammonia zero. nitrates zero. 78 degrees, salinity 1.022 more or less. would like any advice! and thanks ! bob |

Hey Bob...first off WELCOME. I'm not that experienced, so I'll wait and let others chime in.
But, some questions people will ask in order to be better able to answer your questions: 1. How long has the tank been up and running? 2. You mentioned ammonia & nitrates. What about nitrites? 3. Is this a reef, fowlr, or fo tank? 4. What other "livestock" do you currently have in the tank?

i would get a replacement for your clown they seem to like pairs by what i can tell....also not sure if you like damsels but they are very hardy fish as well...the yellow tail ones seem to be alot less aggressive...
did you add a clean up crew by the sounds of it with no snails/hermits? also try to raise the salinity to 1.025-1.026 as well supposedly by what i read thats what natrual sea water is at....but do it slowly.

I keep my salinity at 1.024
How new is the tank?
