i've got crabs

Hi

I got some more live rock the other day and found a crab, can anybody tell me what sort of crab it is? and if I should keep it or return it to the shop

I'm not sure but if he has sharp claws then away he goes but i highly recommend you put it in your sump/refugium then trash him.

i can't get the link to work. but most of the times if the claws are black or pointy then put it in the sump, if the claws are more rounded then they are usually safe.

Looks scary.

Kind of looks like a "Xanthid Crab" that is on the Melev's Reef site.....

If so....he says they aren't good. I'd stick him in a sump or refugium.
