New Tank

i got a red sea max and once i had everything set up and i filled i when i turned on the pumps carbon pieces came out i wanted to know if this is suppose to happen and what im suppose to do with it

Is this carbon in a bag or loose? Did you rinse it before using it?

Dont think about the money that goes into your tank it makes reefing a lot easier ;)

Well, if the carbon is rinse properly, that'll reduce any dust pushed into the tank. If a lot of carbon came out, the back might not be closed properly or the carbon is too fine a grade.
