Feeding My Anemone

I have a Bubble Tip Anemone. My LFS said to only feed it 2 times a week. Is this enough or should I feed it more. Also what is the best food to feed it. Thanks

The anemone will tell you when its hungry...feed it chopped fish, shrimp, or worms ...and maybe do some reading on it...

I feed mine 3 times a week. Any more and they refuse food. Any less, and, well, they're fine. FYI - I feed mine full grown fancy guppies.

excellent link BOR

my rose tip goes through periods where it doesn't want to be fed at all so I don't feed it then---it just rejects the piece of shrimp and the shrimp get a meal.
I think is related to the light and their algae getting enough light to produce their own food

There are a number of rather misleading statements in that article. This article covers only the host anemones, but is more accurate:

http://www.carlosreef.com/AnemoneFAQ.pdf

They both seem to overstate the need for light a bit.

We have a long tentacle and a seabae (about the size of a volleyball). They both get fed one silverside a week. Some weeks I'll mix it up and feed them frozen prawn.
