what is this? and advice......
I found a used tank 55 gallon that I am considering purchasing and wanted to show some pic's of it and get some feedback on what is in it mainly the plant in this pic. also it is said it has a hair algae issue ..
well I have a lawnmower that loves hair algae in my current tank so hopefully he will take care of that, also what methods to keep it all intact should I do to get it moved 30 miles... thanks and looking forward to your feedback.. Last edited by dbreef; 02/06/2008 at 01:38 PM. |

Looks like green star polyps, going to be impossible to remove completely from the rocks without killing them. It's a fast growing coral considered almost a nuisance because once it's on the rocks that happens, I keep mine in the sandbed to stunt growth. If you want a reef tank it will be a problem, fish only it'll be a nice addition.

What kind of skimmer? The metal halide lighting, tank and stand are worth that even if you ditch the rock.
