4 or 7 inch filter sock?

im wodering how do i know if i need a 4 or 7 inch filter sock?
and a 200 micron , right?

the 7 inch will help slow your water down if this is what you need to do--the water through the sump should be between 5-10 times the total water column in gph and or match the skimmer output.
If you change them everyother day then it doesn't matter as far as filtration--you have a good skimmer --that's really all the mechanical filtration you need

so are u saying i dont need a sock? and i dont understand how the 7 slows water down. i have a nice ETTS skimmer
