Question Does anyone keep their param's at NSW levels?

It seems everyone keeps their Alk, Mg, and Cal at higher then NSW levels. I'm wondering if there is anyone that keeps them around NSW levels and what kind of success they are having. For reference here are approximate NSW levels:

Mg: 1300-1500
Alk: 8/2.9
Cal: 400-425

The main reason I ask is because w/ my systems occupants and weekly 10-20% w/c's I can maintain close to these levels w/out dosing anything. TIA for any help.

Yes, mine are at NSW levels, but that's because I use NSW. I haven't had any problems for the year that I've been going this route.

Thanks for the link.

I see a considerable amount of people w/ Cal 450+, Alk in the 10-11 (and up) range, and Mg is usually at the top end of the 1300-1500.

I think a lot of people keep their tanks higher because the amount of Alk and Calcium used by their tanks is usually pretty high and it kinda gives them a buffer zone especially for Alkalinity. Slightly elevated Alkalinity is better than running a little low.
