WHAT is that??? Need ID !! (Pictures)

I turned off my lights approx 45 minutes ago. I looked inside my tank with a little flash light and saw this "worm" looking thing. It look similiar to a centipede and an earthworm. Its not a serpent because there is no legs. Just one "solo worm looking thing".....how is that for scientific?? It must have hitch-hiked from one of my zoo colonies I recently acquired. What the heck is it? And will it harm my fish and corals????

That looks like the typical bristleworm. They most often are useful to have:

Looks like a bristle to me. Detritus feeders unless huge. Don't touch because they sting.

Thanks guys. I almost had an anxiety attack. Thank goodness for this website. This is my first coral tank. I started a 14g nano with softies and Zoos. When I saw that thing, all I was thinking, it is going to eat my corals, then my fish, then my LR, then my......yoiu get the point.

Yea, it looks like it could do something. Its is about the size of a large earthworm......certainly not little.

Just feed more.

If you feed them they will come.

dont worry about those guys even though they look kinda scary. They are good to have in your tank. Just dont touch one or it will hurt

bristle worms are safe, I have a couple of them, but if you are feeding to much they will reproduce very fast.
