am I doing this right? new skimmer adjustment (pic included)

Hi All,

My new skimmer has been running for 4 days now. for those 4 days i had the internal waterlevel right where the neck starts. Today i have raised it as shown and left it sitting there. Was that a good thing to do? Too high or low? And then i just keep an eye on it over the next several days then adjust as it begins to kick in? Thanks!

That would be the difference between wet and dry skimming. I like wet skimming since it seems to be working better (but that's my opinion) and I seem to be doing small "water changes" when I empty my cup every few days. Some like dry skimming to see all the caked on gunk in the neck. It's a matter of preference and you can read about it in all the threads pertaining to wet and dry skimming.

HTHs,

Minh
