Maybe I am just Stupid BUT

Ok I think I am fairly smart not to stupid not a genius But is it me or does anyone else order stuff and it comes with no directions?

First my skimmer which I am stillwaiting for an explanation Because mow I have a tank fullof bubbles which I am told will be ok in a few days Not sure but hey Thats what I was told ina email also loud

Now today arrives my ro/di unit No directions Look like something you see in outerspace ,Has the canisters and all the different color hoses. No idea where they go or what to do One line says drain one says nothing. It says does if your pressure is under 40 contact plumber or install pressure tank. How the hell am I supposed to knwo what my pressure is.

The th elittle paper says makes 2.1 gallon an hour Now just by me guessing am I supposed to let me water run for the few HOURS it takes to make water something like 6 hours at a time?
I live in Ny we pay for water and sewage and I might add alot of money /

So am I the only one who gets these things with no directions or am I just stupid and I am supposed to figure it out on your own?????

They are very bad about instructions. You can find some manuals online.
Re the skimmer, you may want to direct your effluent to the sump's first chamber, which will moderate the bubbles.

The blue hose goes to the collection bucket [an old salt bucket is great for this.] The yellow hose is waste water. You can put it into your washing machine and thus save water; you can also use it for drinking water: there's nothing much wrong with it except a greater concentration of minerals and contaminants. Or you can put it in your toilet tank. There are ways to conserve water. It will probably 'waste' 4 gallons of water for every gallon of 'ro/di water' it produces. Oh---the black line: the black line with the screw tap can go onto, say, a Y connector onto the cold faucet of your washing machine, if you have one in the apartment. My ro/di filter lived on my dryer top, fed water waste into the washing machine.

Do set a timer when running water however: the people below you will be grateful. Make it a really loud one and never run off to the store or get involved in the football game on telly and forget it.
Your water only flows in a trickle due to the restriction of the filter; it's not as if you had the tap wide open for 6 hours.

I am so glad someone else noticed this too. So far, just about every piece of equipment I have ordered for our tanks came with either very bad...or no instructions. It's very frustrating. I wonder why?
