Can scratches on inside of tank be removed???

I have a used tank that has some scratches that were not very visible, but after I painted the back of the tank black I can see them...

Is there any way to remove them?

The tank is completely empty right now.

If your tank is made of acrylic the scratches can be buffed out. If it's made of glass then there is little you can do.
