Sea Hare

I just picked one up from lfs and i realy like him, i was wondering if he will eat nori and cheato after all the hair algea is depleated?

I have had a couple sea hares and yes they will eat nori and chaeto. The problem that I have found is getting it to them. If you have a large tank it can be difficult to get them to find the nori before other inhabitants get to it. But they will eat it.

Well, it's kind of hard to tell which one it is from the picture. It's just a big blob with blue spots.

make sure that if you have any powerheads that the intake has a LARGE strainer basket. They move slow and are very prone to getting sucked into things. I've lost two that way even with provisions.

I had one that looked the same, neon blue spots with a "coat" that looked a little like a frilly mushroom. Unfortunately I lost it to a pump intake (see discotu) and have never seen one since. He was great while he/she lasted.

Looks like a Bursatella, which typically don't care for filamentous algae. The Dolabella is the hair algae eater. I just picked up a Aplysia(sp?) species and it eats a little but nowhere near the Dolabella.

I think it just laid eggs, It stayed in an area for 3 days and finally moved today. This morning i looked in the area it was in and i seen them or whatever it is, ill take pics later

In the pic is where the sea hare is, is where i see the eggs or whatever it or they are.
