Bubble Algae cure.......

Has we found one yet?

Are there any theroies? Some say nutrients play a role in Bubble algae, others dont. Whats your opinion?

No idea here. I hear Emerald Crabs, removing them by hand.... And you always hear "don't pop them in the tank". What happens when and if an Emerald Crab eats them? Don't they "POP"?

inquiring minds want to know (that means me too because I have not found an all-cure either.

I think of bubble algae as reef herpes. Once you tank is "infected" you will probably never completely get rid of it. Removing it as soon as you see it is the best method I've found to control it. Some will get popped it the process but if they aren't in the transparent brooding stage (large and clear) the chance of spreading is reduced.

Emerald Crabs work. Some people say that they are not reef safe. My Emerald Crabs do the job though...

My Siganus corallinus loves 'em. I hand pick them out of the refugium to give him a treat. I have never found them to be a niusance, though.
