I do think there will always be heat issues especially with 400watt halides. what are your plans for how high off the water surface are you putting the lights?
I have a project in the making that I will post a huge build thread when I'm done of a 92 corner with 2 250 watt halide with lumenbright reflectors along with 4x24" VHO ran in a "W" pattern. Will look really cool if my drawings and scetches can come to life. I plan on having my lights about 8-10" off the water surface and I'm putting a nice dual fan setup blowing the heat forward. are you putting the lights inside a canopy or are you having an OPEN TOP tank? Open top tank is the best to allow heat to dispurse but then u will be stuck looking at all the lights. |
