Candy Cane Coral Question

I am fairly new to corals and was wondering if you think this Candy Cane looks ok? I am starting to worry that it might be dead or dying. How could I tell?

How do they eat? I have been putting Kent Phytoplankton in 3 times a week but I don't really see any mouths or anything like that.

My candycane started out as a 3-4 head frag bright fluorescent neon green. In the last 3 years it has grow to the size of a basketball. I split it in two last year, and now it's almost doubled again. The heads are so tight you can't see any of the skeleton. I don't target anything, I also don't think they are hard to keep. But neither are SPS most of mine have grown from small frags. The candycane is in the upper left corner.

Happy Reefing

unless your tank is predominately sps corals you should be feeding with cyclopeeze(zooplankton)
Most lps and softies don't prefer phyto.
Now if you have a refugium producing copopods ect--then feed them the phyto

Nice color on the candy canes.

My candy cane has not grown, but it is completely packed, with no skeleton showing except at night

where are the place--I kept mine up high on the reef with lots of flow but they really didn't do well until I put them in a quieter shaddy corner of the tank and they doing create
I almost hate to suggest this after looking at the above tank--he has them doing well high up
I guess you have to experiment with them

Sometimes my CC has a dripping like effect on some of the lower peices that are shaded. Is this normal?
