Adding live rock... PLEASE HELP

Can you add a small amount of live rock to an established tank. I have some that is out of water and is dried out a little. It doesn't smell yet but I don't assume its cured. Can this be added to a tank, just like 5lbs at a time????

What do you consider a small amount. It sounds like there's going to be a good bit of dead material on the rock. The safest thing to do is give it a good scrub and rinse and allow it to cure in a separate tank (or Rubbermaid bucket).

Current Tank Info: I have a reef screen saver on my phone, does that count?

once cured, can i simply add it to the main tank at once??? or wait??? The main tank is a 90 gallon running on a RENA XP4 packed with ceramic rings and about 40 lbs of live rock. The new rock is about 35 lbs. So my total will be 75
