Actually, from what I've read on it, it doesn't really pull stuff out faster, but its capacity of how much it can hold is significantly increased. Supposedly, you can let it go up to a couple months without changing it out and it continues to pull phosphates out efficiently. Package proclaims up to 300% more capacity than some other brands of media. I won't have a lot to compare it to, as I don't currently have an algae problem. Guess it will come when I bypass the month mark and let it go and see if I get anything growing anywhere.

That's awful! My Mr. Pickle doesn't stay outside in the winter longer than it takes to relieve himself so I'm not so worried about him falling through ice. haha...

Shooter did that coral come around for you? I remember you were having a few issues with it.

I take it by your location you are in the Denver area--I'm partial to the Mile high stadium crowd.
The couple moved to BC and there was a stream running through their land--Mr Pickles fell into a real Pickle

Actually, yes it did. I fragged off all the branches that were dying off, then I fragged off a couple decent branches to try and save at least part of it, then I replace the original base and the two frags I took off of it back into the tank in a different location from where it had been. Happy to say that the original coral and the two frags are both doing very well now. (mixed reefer is referring to the coral in my avatar - sorry for the off topic post )
