chemi-pure elite or skimmer

hi guys,does chemi-pure elite take out the same things as a skimmer?does one take out something the other doesnt?thanx

i cant see any dose that would remove what a skimmer does

apples and oranges, really.
Don't forget- a skimmer provides an aquarium with massive oxygenation which is a very good thing.

chemi-pure does not compare to a protein skimmer.
Protein skimmers besides skimming are a major source of aeration for your tank and help stabilize the pH
Once you clean the skimmer cup the organics phosphates ect are remove from your system unlike chemicals that you dose with
If you use chemipure in a bag in the sump then only the outside layer of the media is used because water takes the shortest way and flows around the outside.
