Lighting question

I just got a sunpod 30" for my 45 salt tank 3 days ago. the tanks been up for a month. live rock, 2 clowns, and coral (Hammer, frog, cap, candy cane, mushroom, xenous) I have no idea how long or whats the best way to run my lights. now they turn on 6 at night and off at 2. Whats the best way to run my lights? thanks.

I would only use for an hour or two and increase to full time slowly to allow coral to adjust to new lights and reduce algea out break.
