return pump stopped working?

woke up this morning and the return pump was not working. it is a sedra 7000. i took the impeller out cleaned everything good and still wont come back on. noticed some small shavings stuck to the magnet so im guessing that is not good.
is there anything else i can do to try to get this going. the pump is not that old guessing right around a year.
