Baring my bottom or should I cover it up?
I have a 150gal tank with a base foot print of 60”x24” that houses a 4” sugar fine sand bed. I have a refuge with a base foot print of 12”x15” that I limit its water input with a ball valve with rest of overflow flowing to skimmer section of sump off of one overflow and other directly to skimmer section.
So my question is should I keep my Refuge bare bottom minus some live rock ruble and some chaeto or should I also make it a DSB only problem is there is not a lot of flow to refuge for DSB. Thank you Brent |

Do a DSB also don't worry about flow the slower the better (more contact time for the bacteria).
