Sicce psk 2500 ?

Can you use a Sicce psk 2500 as a return pump in the sump of a 125, while using a Rs180 skimmer. Are the connections made for that type of use.

Thank s John

are you saying you want it to be a return pump and a feed pump for your skimmer? There are cheaper 660gph pumps out there than a sicce for use as a return.

Use it to return water back to the tank, I was going to use a Rio 26HF but they use 100 watts, and the Sicce is about 30

and it's also $110... do you already own it? you can get the same exact pump in the QO3000 for about half the price if you don't. everything internally is the same but the magnet height, and the output. the QO3000 is a 1" male thread while the sicce is a 3/4" female. Plus if you already have it and it was used for a skimmer, does it have the mesh on it? the mesh isn't that great for moving water...

The sicce will be at 40w and won't be as good as a Ocean runner or eheim, which would be a better return pump as they can handle head better.

The PSK-2500 has a max head of 3m or about 9.6 feet...Close to the Eheim 1260 with similar output. I'd imagine it would work fine...

I don't have a pump yet, I am trying to figure out which one to buy, I saw the watts are lower than the Rio. and it is only going from the cabinet to the tank right above. I am trying to save some money on power.

i'd save the money on the pump too while you're at it. it makes an awesome skimmer pump, but is just outrageously priced for anything else. like luke said, take a look at ocean runners. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
