Question Cleaning tank...

The tank i got wasn't so "new" in the box as listed, its still new but seems to have sat in a garage for a while un covered and is covered in dust and sticky stuff from the tape, i was wondering water and paper towels aren't getting it clean, can i use a glass cleaner? or other similar cleaner in my tank? Thanks a lot!
Alex

I would use a lot of vinegar and some elbow grease. There is a scrubber thing that black and decker makes that works well!

if it is glass, and you are careful you can use water and a razor blade. just keep the area you are working on wet

More than likely the bottom will be covered anyway, so not a big deal. Be careful if using a razor blade not to catch the seams, as you may spring a leak.

id be careful with a razor blade, we have all used them and yes they are great but lets face it they scratch the glass if your not careful and i would say 90% of tanks with scratched glass panels are due to razors, (be gentle)

a credit card might work just as well as a razor blade, and it's much safer
