lighting on a very shallow nano
hello,
i am going to be setting up a 6.6 gallon nano, measuring 23.75" long, 7.25" wide, by 9" tall. i will be keeping zoanthids, some mushrooms, and other similar polyps. my question: what light? i was thinking a 24" 65W PC, but would that blind all o fthe fish/inverts, and roast the corals? ive also seen 20" 40W PC lights, but i would be worried about the 2" on either side going dark, because its such a short tank. i was also looking at T5 lights. ive seen 24" T5's with 2X24W bulbs. would this work better? any info advice or feedback is always welcome. thanks! |

How high can the bulbs go? if you went with t5ho it might even be too much with good reflectors. Hell you probably dont even need reflectors.
