Help with skimmer please
I have an Odyssea PS160 Protein Skimmer. I know you get what you pay for. I did not expect it work very well but i did want it to at least work. When i turn it on it seems fine. I adjust the water release knob and set the bubbles at the base of the tube that goes into the cup. but after a few min. The bubbles start getting higher and higher. Then it overflows into the cup and once the cup is full you can guess what happens next. The skimmer is in my 20 gallon sump. It has the stock pump that came with it. I have tried raising and lowering it in the sump, but it makes no change. This is my first skimmer. Thats why i went cheap. I wanted to maybe mod it and just get use to how they work. So that i know what features i would want later. Thanks very much for any help. I have been fighting with this skimmer for awhile now,

I had the same skimmer and here's what I did. Adjust the flow so that the bubbles in the riser tube are about the bottom third of the tube. Come back in 5 min and check on it, if it overflows lower it some more until it doesn't and then leave it for 3 days. See what you get. Also make sure you remove the inner tube it makes a difference.
