t5 bulb choice
I have a new icecap660 T5 retrofit and am wondering what i should go for with my bulb choice, i will have 4 48" bulbs and would like to go with Giesemann bulbs. I mostly have some soft corals and zoo's and a BTA anenome. What are my best choices on bulbs for this setup?

I'd go with a true actinic, a blue, and a couple of 10k range bulbs. Check out the grim reefers t5 thread in the equipment forum though, he knows it better than anyone!

I prefer ATI over Giesemann. I have a 36" TEK with ATI Aquablue Special, ATI Blue Plus, UV 10K and UV Pure Actinic. I love the colors. Corals looks like they love it and overall color in the tank is pretty much like a 12K MH or something. I love this combination

That's the beauty of T5's, you have so many different bulbs to choose from. I expect you'll have to play around and see what is visually appealing to you. I personally like "the blue look". I have just ordered a 4x39w 3 footer for a new tank build. I'm going with all geismann bulbs. Blue Plus, Pure Blue, Super Actinic, and one.....can't remember the name, but Daylight full spectrum.
On my 180 I have T5 supplements and they are ATI and UVL's Blue Plus and Super Actinic's. Good Luck!
