Feather Duster (I don't think so anymore)
Okay, I know it is hard to identify without a pic but I have something growing on my live rock that looks kind of like a feather duster. They are growing in patches, I thought they were feather dusters at first but now I am pretty confident thay are something bad. I don't think it is aptasion but they do look a little like anenomes....
I don't know, if you have any names that you could through out I could search on the net for a pic to see if it is what I have. Thanks, EJ

touth them with a gloved hand, if they withdraw into what they are growing out of they are feather dusters. If they don't withdraw with being touched then its something bad.

Hydroids will also withdraw when you touch them.

Difficult. Can try kalk pasting though that didn't seem to work that well for me. I ended up pulling the rock that it was on out of my tank and tearing off the hydroids with pliers manually to get rid of them. Some of them still survived that and are slowly repopulating while I plot my next move ...
